ETHICAL FASHION SHOW AND ETHICAL FASHION MARKET Each year, in October, the world of ethical fashion and fair trade meets in Paris, France for a fashion show and wholesale market. In May, a market opens to consumers offering ethical and fair trade products, information and educational materials and entertainment for all ages. FAUX ROCKS FASHION SHOW Fashion designer and instructor Julia Szkiba O'Connor is organizing "Faux Rocks!" a fashion show and event celebrating compassionate fashion. Senior students at the International Academy of Design & Technology in Henderson, Nevada, are working with faux furs and other animal-friendly fabrics, some of which has been donated by Sommers, Inc., as well as bamboo fabric from Bamboo Apparel. The event will also showcase fashions and accessories from established eco-friendly/cruelty-free companies such as Ah-nee-mahl Shoes, Mink Shoes, So Mona, and many others.
